Eastern semi-top view of the Parish Master Plan
The Divine Mercy of Our Lord Catholic Church is the newest parish in the Diocese of Dallas located at 1585 E. Cartwright Rd., Mesquite, Texas 75149.
The "first phase" of our 4-phase building project which was completed in December of 2006 houses the present 730-seat Sanctuary, the Chapel, Fellowship Hall and 6 classrooms (top center). The whole 17 acre site Master Plan calls for the construction of the first Sanctuary Church (top center), the Activity Center (white building), the permanent 1,200-seat Sanctuary (bottom center-turning the first church into a parish center for parish offices and conference center), and finally, the 4-bedroom rectory in the future (far right).
Since the blessing of the first church building in January 6, 2007 by Bishop Charles Grahmann, the membership of the Divine Mercy of Our Lord Parish have grown fourfold from 400 to over 1,500 families presently registered. The multi-cultural parish community boasts of over 30 baptisms during Easter Vigil for two years in a row now, more than 400 families in the Faith Formation classes, hundreds of church volunteers and many new ministries and services in the process of formation.
